I very rarely change my password and I don't reveal them to anybody. I consider my emails to be very private and im not even comfortable in someone would read them while I am reading a certain message. I also never share my passwords or user names.

I rarely change it too. I don't log in to my inbox from anywhere but home. I don't want risking keyloggers in an internet cafe or at some friend's house. So... let's say about six months.

Pass word and pass phrase are just as pin code and their use is for security purpose. This is good habit to change your pass word time to time. But it is bad to not keep it remembers. The people who use to change its password do well for the security. Password is a confidential thing and it should never be disclosed to others. Email address is an item which people need to reach you. Some time your email address becomes problem due to rush on it. Thus the people use to change it too and they form a special email address for some special people.

I only happened to change it twice, since my ex knows my first password that I thought I should change it just in-case..
I also decided to maintain just two e-mail providers, so I don't have to worry of taking too much time just trying to check the mails I received from one over the another.
My passwords are all but a secret, I never told it to anyone else just to be careful and safe..

I usualy dont change my password. since I started off with my email thing I used the same password. I also have one for my work but my staff knows my password. In my personal email I only know my password. It is very personal and I should not let anyone read it. I dont like also to open other emails. But in the office they can open it up anyway although there are some personal messages, they can view it if they like.

If its my official mail ID, im forced to change it every month. Even if i dont remember, an alert/reminder comes up... or if i dont change, then after 1 month, it stops me from accessing my mails. So i change it every month.
However, im not so keen about changing my personal mailid password. I change it whenever i feel like ;)
Also remember to have a strong password with alphabets and numbers. That is good for u.
Make it a habit to change once in 2months atleast. It could be that someone saw what u were typing... or it could be that somehow, somebody got ur passoword. So to be on the safer side, its good to change it frequently.
But dont forget them when u change. LoL . Write some shortcuts/hints immediately in ur personal diary. That will help u even if u forget.
