can u tell me that what is the operating system is mainly use in computer & which is the best for laptop.

I think Microsoft windows XP may be the best for your laptop.Microsoft windows Vista is now rejecting because it does not support some programs.

i do not agree with u ,at present ,more and more software companies improve themslves to perform well on vista , at the same time ,lots of new games only run on vista,so vista is the tendency. i think many people will have to install vista for work or study in future.

if you want an operating system which is safe to use in the internet plus an OS which is virus, trojans, and malware free then i suggest use linux. i suggest www.pclinuxos.com

The best one to use in PC and for laptop these days is Windows XP....Don't switch to Vista if you have to run your daily programs that are more suited on XP...There may be incompatibility issues with Vista..
