hi there! why don't u use lcd? anyway u should use screen filter for CRT, it has a wire and u are to connect or nip it on any conductor surfaces.

you can try using the screen filter at some computer accesorries store. Or you pu a black tinted glas in front of your monitor, it will reduce the radiation. Same you wearing a black eyeglasses. for two times per hour, look other object and the look back at the monitor, is good for your backneck too.

These all reduce eyestrain from glare and do nothing about radiation.

If you surround yourself with hundreds of monitors and have them on and active 24 hours a day 7 days a week for a few decades you might be affected by the radiation, however realistically the radiation from a CRT monitor is minimal, and most products that claim to reduce the radiation do nothing anyways. Your best bet is to stop worrying about it.

This discussion kinda freaked me out some since I am on my computer pretty much all day and I sit close to it since I need glasses and lean in to see better. But after reading your response I do feel alot better. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Hello, naseefu! a thin transparent glass is available in the market to cover the screen of the moniter which can protect your eyes and health from the radiation.you may even use a spec for protecting your eyes.thank you.

you can buy a monitor filter in any pc shops near you. it's just a glass filter placed in front of the monitor to filter some radiation coming from your pc. it helps a lot especially if your in front of the pc more than a couple of hours a day. you can also buy a LCD monitor if you have the budget. LCD monitors have less radiation compared to CRT monitors. hope this helps.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about. I worked in front of a CRT monitor 10 hours a day for 21 years at one company and have had no adverse effects.

if you can use a computer with your monitor is off then that when you avoid radiation.
