im the only one who doesnt live in the same state as them, but my parents and brothers and sisters all live within 10 miles of each other, ill be back up there some day soon. i go to see them every weekend. but yes we are all very close, we had things that went on in our childhood that had kept us close and beable to help eachother. my dad was gone alot (coal minor) one of my older brothers body was burned in a house fire wich had taken alot of my parents time and we lost a little sister as some other things but our childhood was happy otherwise we delt with things as a family and still do.

I miss not having responsibilities, and my grandfathers. I wish I'd had the chance to get to know them. I believe family, past or present, plays a large part in your life. It's where you came from, and what molds you into the person you become.

Family is really important. Sometimes, we don't realize that until we are grown, though.

Hi there Inklings! Well i miss, just being a kid - no responsibilities, no-one to pick up after, no one to cook for, no bills to pay. Hang out with your friends when ever you want to. Oh the joys of childhood! :)

And to think -- most of us griped a little about our few chores! Little did we know that we'd have SO MANY more once we were grown up! :O)

Kids meet so many people just by going to school. It's harder to find the time to meet that many people for most adults.

When we are kids, we don't want our parents to treat us like kids -- and when we are adults, we'd like them to baby us a little!! :O)

Christmas was wonderful as a kid. It's still great, but not having to pay for it was terrific!

Being able to walk around with ice-cream smeared all over your face and everyone thinking it's cute, now at 32 people may think I am mentally challanged ;)
