We learn from our parents that violence is not the way to success.Growing up I realized that if you had to be noticed you have to fight back. You have to retaliate.Would you teach your children to take the beating and do nothing about it?or will you ask them to stand up for themselves?

Fighting in most cases do not really solve a problem but worsens it. What has America achieved in Iraq? Martin Luther King achieved a lot via his non-violent means for humanity. I have two grown boys and i instilled in them to stand up for their rihgts without being violent. They are now in their 20s and so far never been involved in violence.

So the trick is to make your kids stand up for themselves being non-violent.Would you care to elaborate by stating an example as to what one should do if so and so happens.

If two children should have a quarrel and none try to speak to the other it most likely will end up in violence. So, one should try to speak to the other about what had caused the problem. If he is unable to handle the situation, seek the help of someone else -- his peer or an adult but do not violent cause someone could be seriously or fatally injured.

Non-violence is of course the best course of action for any issue, but perhaps not always the right one. Yes it worked for Martin Luther King and Gahndi, but some times force is a necessary evil; even for peace sometimes. I don't think a philosophy of non-violence would have stopped Hitler. Some people can't be reasoned with. That being said, war and violence should only be used when every other solution has been exhausted. But I think I would tell my kids to stand up for themselves. I myself, have never been in a physical fight, but if I was, I wouldn't take it lying down.

it depends on the situation. If someone try to shut your mouth for the thing which is not right and he is doing that then i will definitely oppose him and do whatever it takes to bring him down.I have been taught from my parents that never feel the things which are not correct andd always oppose it if it is anti-social.As i am from india and i am hindu in our religious book called "GEETA" there is a whole thing on how to treat such a thing ,The god called krishna explains to one person-ARJUNA about it

we have to teach our children to defense themselves against the evil,we can make them to learn some self confidence and good manners from the begining,if these are done, than they can stand themselves against good and evil.
