Do you have the TV or radio, while on the computer?

In our house there is always a TV on. The kids each have one in their rooms and they're on every waking hour til bedtime even when the kids are playing video games (on a separate TV) or on the computer. In our bedroom (and computer room) we have the TV on whatever show we like to watch. Otherwise it's on a satellite music channel to provide soothing background music to our computer game playing (usually Oldies). ~Tink

I would normally have the tv on... just as background noise... not paying attention to it at all... I hate the quiet :P

Hi there, Well in the mornings I listen to my news radio while on the computer, and have my coffee. In the evenings on weekends I have on the TV but not really listening to it, but if I hear something interesting, I'll turn around...LOL.

The sound of silence (not the Simon & Garfunkel version). I cannot stand background noise and music and have been known to ask restaurants to switch it off or disconnect the speaker nearest to me. My wife loves the radio and turns it on when she gets up and off when she goes to bed. It drives me mad, especially if she is not in the room. The wretched thing just blares away. However, I will quite happily listen to music on its own. Contrary I know.

I sometimes listen to music while I am on the computer. Most the time my daughter is in my room though and is watching one of her movies so I cant listen to music and that at the same time. I rarely watch tv at the same time cause I dont have the cable hooked up in here yet. But im sure once I get it hooked up in here ill watch tv some while being on here.

Yeah I think it can be pretty annoying trying to listen to TV while on the computer. I like to listen to music while on the computer. Unless I'm playing computer games or something, about 90% of the time I'm on a computer I will be listening to music lol :) Music is like my life! I think it can be really boring being in silence especially on the computer.. don't ask me why.

I usually have the TV on for background noise, but seldom pay attention to what is on. Today, though, I decided to play CD's and am listening to Caedmon's Call.

No. For me, it is just me and my computer. If I want music, I will turn on my music player or Internet radio. Not inconvenient at all.:)

Thats one good thing about having a labtop is I can bring it anywhere and go on the internet. I usally watch tv while im on the internet. I dont get distracted like a lot of other people do I can watch tv and browse and type at the same time which is a good thing. Infact its hard for me to watch tv with out being on the internet now. Only time I get distracted is if im watching a movie like I watched 3 10 to yuma and I missed some plot lines that would of made sense at the end lol.

I usually have music playing while I am on the computer. Unless, I am on the phone at the time. Normally I will turn on my computer and then listen to the music on my computer.

It would be a waste of electricity or battery power if I had a radio or TV on as I sit at my computer. I get so engrossed in reading and writing online that I don't notice outside noise. I prefer not to have any distraction.

Usually I would just have some easy music on in the background, nothing thstd going to distract me too much.

i do have tv in my computer, so i can use it to watch games and sports,such as wantching nba .

Not the television but radio in my computer. I sometimes turn my music on using earphone if i have nothing so important to do. It bothers me sometimes especially if it's school stuff.

I have my tv on normally when working on the net as i listen to business news along. I sometimes am watching some popular serials as i am on my computer. Radio is not that popular a medium here so i dont go for it.

Almost ALWAYS the television is on in our home... it is just the noise... although when I am home a lone I do not have to have the noise on... but the movement makes me feel more comfortable.

I usually always have the tv on - sometimes it is on the music channel sometimes on programmes, soaps, comedies etc - I don't really pay attention but I like the background noise! xxx

Even now while am on mylot, my TV is switched on. i always love listening to soft music, Indian Carnatic Classical music. The main reason behind this is that we get to knw many things, we get to remember many things from our past through the discussions at mylot. When the same is coupled with good music, the time spent on the computer makes every moent a memorable one.cheers
