do you open your presents before you bday?

today i responed to an ad for a cheap ipod, and told my grandfather about it. i was so happy i was finally geting an mp3 players. to my suprise my grandfather told me not to get it, becuase he already got me one for my bday [which is in 6 days!].
for me, i love opening presents before christmas and my birthday. even if no one lets me i still try to find out whats inside the box. haha
do you guys open presents before your birthday or chirstmas?

To me I would rather open presents ON that day.
Basically cause I really don't get any... so if I am to get them... I want them on my special day!

im the same way, i don't get much presents anymore.
too poor and most of the presents go to my little brother anyways! but i don't mind =].

I try not to open things before the day. When I was a kid my parents used to let me open one before my birthday or xmas. I sometimes let my daughter open one before but I try not to. This year I gave her a birthday present over a month in advance cause I knew she wanted it so bad.

Usually I try to stick to the tradition, but sometimes I just can't help myself. It was fun as a kid waiting for that special day to get my presents, but it's not such a big deal anymore...

eveything was alot more fun as a little kid. now my birthdays and chirstmas are just like any other day.
i also try to stick to tradition. . .but sometimes i fail. haha

I don't, I think there's more excitement the day of. Especially Christmas, because others are opening there's too. But Christmas at my house is spoiled every year because one of my sister's always tries to figure it out before the christmas eve. And then a couple of people give in and tell, so it's not too much a surprise every year.

yeah sometimes i get my parents to tell me what they got me before. its not so much suprising on the day, but i still act suprised.
