On March 2, the new president of Russia was elected with 70% of the votes. His name is Dmitriy Medvedev, he was picked and favored by Vladimir Putin who has now stepped down as Prime Minister. Does anyone have any thought, opinions, or comments on this? I believe some things will change pretty soon regarding Russia and its policies with the rest of the world.

You better believe that the anti-western identity that Putin was trying to build will now be demolished. YAY! but seriously with the students there still learning out of books that revere Stalin... not good.

I didn't see that much wrong with Putin but I think its because I'm looking at him th rough a non-western point of perspective. Hopefully Medvedev will improve relations with other nations and raise the standard of living in Russia. Thank you for your response Jimmy.
