You know it is a really good thing to have a sister. I have to sisters, 1 is 2 years younger then me the other is 3 years younger then me. I get a long with both of them great most the time however we do still have our ups and downs. Sometimes I wish I didnt have sisters so I just didnt have to deal with the drama all the time. But deep down they are usually there for me no matter what and thats a good thing. To have someone stick up for you and know someone is there to help. Sometimes I wish I had a brother. I never did get one though. I sometimes wonder how life would be with brothers instead of sisters.

I only have one sister and she's the best :) We live together a little bit of ten years ago when I was to start going to high school. I had to go to the city for high school and I lived away from my parents with my sister downtown. From then until college she took care almost everything I need from the basic to excess. Having at least one sister is the best. It's a bit different talking secrets with my brothers you know.. especially that my brothers are stiff looking and not so physically approachable but so sweet inside though ;)

your thought is an appreciable one . having born between two brothers and still to have one sister is really good. but the advantageous and disadvants. are many in practical life. u may share only your personal feeling with sisters and not all

I think its nice to have a sister than brother... because i can talk much with her, its different than have a brother. I have a sister btw, and we are close each other, we also sometimes borrow some stuff from one another... its nice, since you can use also her perfume and clothes.... ahaha

I wanted a sister so bad when I was younger - I grew up with 2 brothers but have 3 brothers total - one was born after I was already moved out of the house! (we are 21 years apart! Same Dad, too!) I thought for sure my mom would have a little girl then, we were so tired of boys, and yet it was a boy...I really lucked out now though, I have a 6 month old daughter. In some ways I think this might be better than having a sister...I can tell her what to do for awhile, lol. I like having the brothers though...they are good for moving heavy things or giving me the "male perspective"

I always felt the same way growing up. But at 22 years old I found out I was adopted and I suddenly have two sisters! It's very weird and I'm still kind of confused on how to "have a sister". We're all pretty busy in our lives, and I still wish I grew up with either of them. (they're both from each of my birth parents). But I like the feeling that I have someone else to talk to about things, and I really hope to improve my relationships with them in the future. I already met one of them last December and it was a very strange but really awesome experience. I also got to meet her three children, so now I have so much more family to love! I think growing up I was very close to my girlfriends because we were always like "sisters" and did everything together. But having actual sisters is kind of cool, although I think it's harder to form a relationship as an adult. Just remember that friends are also like family and having/not having sisters shouldn't make any difference with the relationships you have now. :)

we are the same, i am the only girl in the family. i am sandwiched by two boys, my older brother and younger brother... i too have thought what it would be like to have a sister.. i guess i will not need any other girlfriend as she will be my best friend...and i will tell her everything! but those are just my imaginations. Though i have often thought about having a sister.. i cannot bring myself to think what if i dont have a brother.. cause i will surely not like to lose my brothers who have protected me.

having a girlfriend is almost the same thing. you don't have to feel that you are deprived. i hope you would not feel that way because that would be detrimental to you self being. just simply be happy that you had brothers unlike others who does not have and envy you.

Hello vanities, I m very lucky in this. Not only a sister, I have six sisters and three brothers ( the eldest brother passed away few years ago) I come from a very big and close knit family and yes, it s fun and sometimes, my mom gets headache too *smiles* Generally, I m close to all my sisters but the closest to me is my eldest sister. She took care of me when I was a baby and she is like a second mother to me. She cares for me too much and even after I got married, she still cares for me. Now, she loves my son just like how she loved me when I was a baby *smiles*

I'm a straight man but since you asked how does it feel to have a sister, then (from a man's point of view) having a sister or sisters feels very good. I have two sisters and three half sisters with no brothers (as far as i know) feels very different. i use to envy people having brothers, but you know what i thank God that i have sisters. I protect them and they take care of me especially things at the house like food and etc. If i could say it me being a man how much more you.

Like you, I'm the only girl in the family. But, the feeling of wanting to have one is not so intense coz I have my girl cousins. They fill in the role of the sister i never had ...

It's nice having a sister. Actually, I have two of them, both of who are way older than me... much, much older. One is 13 years older and the other is 10 years older than I am. Even if we may have such a huge gap in terms of years, we hardly notice it. When I have concerns about motherhood, aside from my mom, it's usually one of my sisters that I run to. When it's advice on certain things, my other sister is good at that. When we have little issues with my mom, we run to each other. It's nice to have to someone I can borrow clothes, bags etc. from and nicer to have someone to run to when I need them. It's like having a bestfriend... only difference is, we have the same set of parents... :)

I grew up not on good terms with my sister that we were always quarelling. We had different friends and different interests. We were like north and south poles. But when we reached our 20's we started getting closer and now we are as close as sisters should be that she ended up as my closest friend and confidante. I have experienced a lot over the past years that she's the only person who knows about. I am just so lucky to have a sister. I know that as we mature more, we wouls still continue to depend on each other. There are times that life is so rough but we feel secure in the knowledge that we can always turn to each other for comfort and help.

Hello dear friend c",) I'm sorry to hear about your brother, but i hope all will be well with you now. yes, i would agree that it's nice to have sisters. In fact i have 4 sisters and a brother. We are one big happy family.. though not all times we had great moods but it's nice to have someone to share your thoughts and feelings as close as your sisters. I'm very happy to have them in my life and i love them so much. Don't worry i'm sure you'll find sisters through your friends... Take care always and God bless you dear.

I only have two brothers and no sisters. I am eager to have one but my mother said no. I have a very close friend, who is like my sister at some sense. We have no secret with each other and hang out together. I don't have a birth sister, but I am lucky to have a friend-sister.

I have one sister and I believe it is a great feeling to have her. The connection is different with a sister. There are just some things that you could not talk about with a brother and that is where your sister would come in. But if you don't have a sister it is ok too. You just have to work with what you got.
