Does anyone else virtual school their kids? These are true public schools but they are online - you do these at home, online via a computer provided by the school. Ours provides textbooks/lab kits, internet fee allowance, and constant teacher support as necessary. Lots of field trips with other parents in the general area. State testing must be done within the local school district at the school your child would attend. And all paid for with state tax dollars. We love it! How's yours work?

We're starting our first year with virtual school on Monday and I'm really excited about it. I love the way it's structured and completely planned out for me. Last year we homeschooled, but had so much flexibility we had trouble staying on track.
Are you using K12? I'm really impressed by what I've seen of it so far. Just seems so progressive and fun! What a great combination!

We used Florida Connections Academy, however, they only go through 8th grade in our state. So my child is preparing to enter the local high school. I already miss virtual school!
