As a psychology major in college right now, I have heard that question so many times. But at the same time I have also heard many arguments for and against both opinions. From all that I have heard, learned, and read, my personal view on the nature vs. nurture discussion is that it is a combination of both factors that lead us to act in certain ways.
Now what Im about to say next may be false, but I think I remember seeing something on tv describing an experiment with mice having either a very nurturing mother, or the opposite, a detached mother that did little to care for them. The mice that had a detached mother were more anxious, and it was even found that their epigenetics, which is hard to describe mostly from my lack of knowledge, had been affected. Certain genes were "turned off" so to speak.
Over all its a very interesting discussion that I think will go on for quite a long time.
