which do you prefer, automatic/mechanical or quartz watches?

It depends on what you use them for. When going to parties & social events, i prefer automatic wristwatches for their designs & style where accuracy is not that important. When i am at work i usually wear a quartz watch with chronograph because my work demands that i need accuracy in measuring elapsed time.

I have to disagree with you. You see, the design has nothing to do with the type of movement. There's nothing keeping quartz watches from being prettier than automatic ones. I really do prefer to use automatic watches, but that's just a matter of taste, i just like the way they're constructed.

well i agree with you.in some formal occasions wearing a good mechanical watch is necesssary to show your taste.however as nowadays people often take along with them a mobile phone with time dislay on it so in casual times many people do not take any traditional watch,hehe
