How can I keep my cat off the kitchen counter?

She is only 5 months old, so I am trying to train her, and I have removed her, yelled down, sprayed her with a squirt bottle, but she ust keeps coming back.

We have used mouse traps. I will scare them and they won't get on the counter again. Of course, don't put any food in the trap!

cats don't like tape on their feet.. try getting some double sided tape and putting it around the perimeter of the counter.. maybe an inch or so in, or wherever you see her paws landing normally when she jumps up. that might help.

If you do the mousetrap thing put a blanket or something over the traps so your cat does not step on it and lose a foot in it.... Another thing to try is putting tin foil or aluminum foil crinkled some cats a pickey, and do not like the feeling of that on their feet.. - DNatureofDTrain
