I am an artist, painting contemporary art, i love the textures of it and the smell, from all the different meduims that i use, it grows with time and the painting gets more texture with all the layers i add on. You can actualy run your hand over my work and feel it under your skin, all different shapes and points, it feels almost like walking on a beach, with the sand under your feet. Then on the other hand you get art that is flat but texture is painted on, to create a textured effect, when you touch it you dont feel a thing but when you look at it you see a lot.

I am not an artist, but a connosieur of art. I collect art works I mean paintings. I have more than 15 to my credit and hope to increase it in near future. It depends on the theme selected by artist.A good artist, anything he does, will more or less comes out good, looks pleasing, and one develop possessive instinct. I loe mostly portraits, landscapes. I feel witht he texture it looks great.

It is so amazing to hear other comments, i always wonder, I agree a good artist is a good artist, but i am a artist and have done some outstanding paintings, but every painting is a challange on its own, has a life of its own, i also sell art in my gallery and over the years descovered that almost every painting has a owner, the challange is to get the right art work to its rightfull owner.

hello flowie! like you i love texture in paintings. i admire paintings that look like they have lots of texture though flat to the touch. i believe it takes real talent to "trick" the eyes. However, if i were to buy a painting, it must be textured in the real sense of the word - with all those layers of dried oil in different colors on the canvass, with the artist who lovingly wielded his brushes with lots of paint applying them on his canvass with impasto technique. i love not only seeing (viewing) but touching the painting as well. only then would i feel the painting come to life...

I am an artist...both my partner and myself. I paint with acrylic, sculpt. Wood carve. I enjoy most forms of art...including singing and playing guitar. My partner likes oil and acrylic. It's beautiful to be able to watch your creation come alive. And as you know can be quite addictive. I don't have as much time these days. Other issues are eating up a lot of our time. I also make jewelry. It's all good.
