The necessity of a college education in the work-force.

College is becoming more and more necessary, in order to find a decent paying job that does not consist of flipping burgers and dousing french fries in grease.
As I have taken only two years of college courses and am a few classes away from an Associates Degree I have come to understand the irritating importance of having a degree. Though I have studied hard, funding has become scarce and I am very limited as to what I am able to take. I look for jobs and it seems the only jobs I am qualified for are ones at movie rental stores, fast food, or retail shops making minimum wage which is not near enough to pay the bills.
I live paycheck to paycheck hoping that life will eventually get easier and that I will be able to get myself out of this debt - that was mostly acquired by attending college.
Jobs are hard to find no matter what - either you need a college education or you need 3-4 years experience in the field, but how are you supposed to have experience in a field if no one in that field is willing to train you?
It's a very frustrating situation, especially when you are trying to make it on your own and feel as if you are slowly failing at achieving success on a monetary level.

That is a harsh fact of life. With the downsizing of companies happening daily, jobs will be harder and harder to obtain. Even with an education the job market is thin, then you toss in those employers who hire illegal workers, that is taking more jobs away for those seeking more gainful employment.
There are many types of grants available to people looking to finish school. Many local community colleges offer help to students who are in the lower income levels looking to continue education.
Best advice is to avoid those colleges on line, most credits are non-transferable and companies that are in the fortune 500 do not recognize those diploma's as legitimate.
