actually in some states it is agaist the law to drive and use a cell phone.. To bad they aren't all that way.. When I was going to my sister in laws last week we took the interstate all the way down there and there were so many people driving with phones next to their ears... It was actually pretty scary seeing that.. Cause they are the number one cause of accidents... I too would be pretty upset if someone else almost caused a accident due to the fact they were on a phone and not paying attention to the road.

I experienced this few days ago. I was in a hurry, when we were about to cross some driver obviously using cellphone probably texting just cross without braking or slowing. It was just an irritating scene, can they park for a minute and use their phones if it's too important to avoid accident? I just don't like it sometimes..

There are laws!! but does anyone follow them? I was just rear ended by a lady talking on a cell phone. It made me so mad I started a website. Go and post your comment there. Its the only way we can put a stop to this is by letting our congressman know to change the laws. We the people make the laws! http://www.squidoo.com/cellphonerage

Hi, Here in the UK there is a law against it and you get fined £60 and points on your license. There is also a TV campaign where a wife phones her husband he is in his car and answers which makes him crash and in the advert it says to put the phone down the minute you realise someone is driving while talking. I am pleased you didn't get in a accident because of this, it really is becoming a problem everywhere. I switch my off when driving but have with me in case of emergency, which is how they should be used. Ellie :D

In the uk there is but it should be everywhere, as it is very dangerous as you have found out at first hand. Unfortunately until there is a law in your country idiots will still do it. Such is human nature to not be able to do something unless forced to by law.

hello dear. I think some states have a law about driving and talking. I try my hardest not to because I'm easisly distracted. I have been driving numerous times and someone will be on the cell in the fast lane and not even doing the speed limit! That one really gets to me! Have a good day!
