Do you sit there and think about the past and have regrets or do you think oh well whats done is done and move on? I tend to think about the past quite a bit which is a problem as it makes me think about all the bad things.

something i do think about thing i have done in the past that i have regreted. But what can we do? What's done is done all we can do is move one and done our best not to repeat the same mistake again. even if you are able to go back into the past to amend/prevent the mistake. are we sure we can amend/correct the mistake and not make it even worse? Even if we cant amend/correct what can we do to salvage the situation? what we can do is to look forward and move on and prevent the same thing from happening again "Sometime doing the wrong thing aint doing the wrong thing at all"

Yeah I do sit around and think about the past and think about a lot of my past mistakes and things I wish I would of done and not done. I think more about it when i'm down or depressed already which just makes things worse for me.

I assume the only reason for which you look at your wrong things from the past is for understanding what is not to be done again. If something which you admit was wrong in the past you repeated again in present, that is a waste of time and of experience...but anyway...I know it's not the case. What I wanted to say is that it is recommended for one's ethical development to look back at one's own mistakes and make an idea of how not to act in the future...it's how experience is built as a whole... About regrets...it's natural but of no use actually...what's done is done, and all you can do is to try to repair...but if that's not possible, we return from where we began...try to not repeat the same mistake again in the future. If we live from regerets, it can damage our self-confidence and our sanity sometimes (to the extremes)...

I do sit around and think about my past and what I could have done differently but also I think that it's made me who I am today. There are things that have happened in my past that affect how I live my every day life and how I think things through. Mostly bad but there are some good things that have came out of it. I tend to be paranoid over simple things that wouldn't bother other people.
