myspace is a place to meet new people, right? are we attracting murderers and rapist into our homes through the computer or what?

Myspace was originally created for people to find their old friend who they have lost touch with. Of course over time people like everything have abused it and used it for their own purposes. I like myspace and think the focus should be more about how to use these sites safely.
