Guys, so many time in our life we did useless things and some useful things...
But truly, what is your biggest goal in your life...
How close you are to the goal ?
My goal in life is pretty simple. i just wanna get rich and then doing nice things to help people like building free school and hospital for the poor in my country.
But I'm still so far away to realizing my dream...

hello neo_knights,
that's very kind of you to think not only for yourself but as well as for the goodness of your countrymen.
we need a lot of you and me
i dream the same thing but i dont want to set that as my goal, i mean to help a lot, i can only help one at a time and for me it is enough coz i dont have much really. the fact that we think about it and do something about it is what matters most.
anyway, to answer your question my goal in life is to be happy and to live my life to the fullest.
we only live once so i wanna make sure that i live it the way i can look back before i die and see that i have enjoyed every part of it.
problems may arise but i remain to stand and move on and let go of it, if needed.
i dont dream to be rich coz i already know that material stuff wont make me happy. it is nice to have them but it dont make my world turn around.
i have found the man i love and would love to live with for the rest of my life. so i can honestly say that i am there half way coz i am happy now.
but living my life to the fullest - i am doing it everyday, i cannot tell that i have reach the end of the journey coz i am still alive but i know i am getting there.
btw, i am a bit confuse here, so hope you dont mind me asking.
how do you define a goal? is it same as your dream?
i ask this coz you ask for the goal but you end up your sentence with "dream".
my reason is that, to me a goal is different than a dream.
IMHO, a goal is something that you set so you can use that to know if you are progressing or not. i.e. we often have a goal that is attainable.
ONCE you place a goal that is almost next to impossible, then that would be a DREAM.
anyway, just my view and i would like to hear bout yours so i can understand you better.
thanks a lot!
takecare!

Whoops.. I just confused you with my words pick.
But honestly, a goal is something you can see, you can achieve, no matter if they are easy or not. But everytime you achieve a goal, you should set another goal to reach higher level. It's like playing soccer. You have 2x 45 minutes of game. You can set how many goals you can, but see for your self everytime soccer player make a goal they will be happy and then they will keep playing again.
But "dream" is like a real dream. Once you achieve it, there's like nothing else above that. Once you achieve your dream, you'll enjoy the situation. Let me get an example for you. Imagine you are a child, and you dream about a playground with so many toys and games, but one you wanted most, Carousel. When someday your dream are coming true, do you play with the carousel through the whole day or maybe a week, or you just play it for once and then you make another dream ?
Can you differ dream and goal ?
I'm actually like to set my goal above as my dream.
And about the "i can only help one at a time and for me it is enough" you've said, I have a chinese saying
"As long as You have passion of love inside your heart,
As long as You have compassion inside your soul,
You have thousand hand to help others"
It means if you have $10 to spend for your lunch today, try to buy yourself $5 lunch and you donate the $5 to 5 different organization for $1 each. It means that you already have 5 hands.
Get the idea ?

hello again,
thanks for the clarification.
i already know the stuff you mention so i dont have to think about the "idea" LOL
kidding aside, i honestly understand what you mean as i define it the same way and many other ways and i just want to understand your views. i learned from others so i do question.
regarding the term "one at a time" i want to help one person knowing i am really helping and not just giving a $1, i know a dollar is a dollar but i want to do a change so id rather focus on ONE at a time and move on once i know i make a difference to one's life. i think you get the idea of my preference.
we all have our own way of doing something and what works with you may not work with me, and vice versa. that is just common as it is like our own point of view.
btw, the word "one" doesnt pertain to "single" really in my views, same when you say "bring home the bacon" you're not really bringing the bacon in a literal way.
appreciate your time and i thank you for the lesson.
have a great weekend!
takecare

I think the dream of getting rich is never simple, it involves hard work and lot of sacrifices. one has to forgo certain things in order to save, do business and get to your level of wealth one desire.
my dream is to be a professional pilot but it has fallen out and i'm a professional teacher. i've another target, to get big time business to help others and donate to charity irrespective of where it should be but where the need be. especially disaster prone and war torn areas. God accept our prayers. Amen!

in fact working hard alone takes a lot of time to yield fruits. you're very right.
i've experienced it and indeed it's frustrating sometimes.
hope things will improve as time goes on.
don't worry you'll get what you want and accomplish your good ambition.
