After an exciting few seasons of sports I have come to realize that there really are some priceless sports moments. For example, most recently watching the Giants pull off maybe one of the biggest upsets in NFL history was great and it was all the better seeing Eli Manning escape the impossible and the inevitable just to hurl it to Tyree to see him clutch the ball in mid-air on his helment with Harrison wrapped in a blanket around him and to not lose control and hold on. That very may be one of the most ridiculous plays in sports I have ever seen.
I'm from Dallas and I'm an all-Dallas fan. I like the Cowboys and the Mavs in particular. What sticks out from moments with my teams have to be the 2006 NBA playoffs. Wow, what a great run for the Mavs even though it ended in travesty and corrupt controversy. Having the full playoff package all the fun started with the Grizzlies in a clean sweep in round 1. I can still remember Dirk rebounding in game 3 or 4 and heaving up a 3 to put the game into OT with a few seconds remaining then putting them away in OT. I remember my step-dad coming downstairs and asking what was going on because I was screaming so loud. Then round 2, the Spurs, the team we couldn't get past, the only thing standing between us and a title. I remember the Spurs going for a tie in game 2 and Manu Ginobli fumbling it into the backcourt giving us the ball and the game, tying the series at 1 a piece going into SA. I remember Terry sucker-punching Finley in the nuts and getting suspended for game 6 which I attended that ended in a loss sending the game into game 7 into SA. I remember not caring about the series when I came down with the worst sickness I've ever had in my life and wanting to die but watching game 7 anyways even though I was throwing up every 5 minutes. I remember letting out a little yell when Dirk drove the lane and in cold blood fashion put a layup through the hoop with Ginobli slapping the hell out of him sending him to the line to tie the game. I remember Diop being the un-sung hero of the series by stopping Duncan late in regulation and shutting him down in OT. I remember Terry dribbling around the baseline and draining a jumper over Duncan to put the Mavs up by a considerable margin with little time left on the clock. Then the Phoenix Suns came to town for a little reunion with Nash and the boys. We took it to 6 games peaked by a little Dirk stop and pop in Phoenix to help us win a game late and then who can forgot the pivotal game 5 at the AAC where Tim Thomas decided he was going to bring his hand over the face waving and kiss blowing a$$ into town and challenging Dirk. Not only did Dirk respond, he straight up raped Thomas outscoring him 50-20 something and achieving a new playoff high. I can just picture the Mavs putting the game away midway through the 4th and being pumped at Dirk's performance and how embarrassed Thomas must have felt. Gotta love seeing the Suns fan crying game 6 when we eliminated them. I remember going to the local Academy Sports after the game and buying the first ever Western Conference champ t-shirts. Then the finals came, the first 2 games might have been the most fun thing I have ever had in my life. The energy was all over Dallas and it was like being on a totally different planet. It was crazy. Going up 2-0 and walking down from the 3rd floor to all the cheering, chants, and excitement the whole way down was exhilirating. Then the Stern factor kicked in and Wade starting averaging 22 free throws a game. I still remember the play where someone inbounded the ball to him, he went backcourt, shoved Terry into the scorer's table, and went up for a layup and missed it and just fell to the ground and hearing that whistle blow and watch replays where he was LITERALLY untouched and being so pissed I could've killed Wade and the refs. Then the timeout that we never called, leading to Harris' halfcourt shot instead of inboudning from half court. All in all, that was by far the most exciting playoff run I've ever seen, with some really good series, Phoenix, Miami, Memphis and then very possibly one of the greatest playoff series in NBA history - Mavs vs. SA. What a milestone beating them and proving to ourselves we can beat this team.

I am not a big sports fan, but on occasion I'll watch figure scating, mostly to hear the music in the background. LOL If I want to do something physical, I'll usually go bowling. I can't see that well, and in bowling, the ball doesn't come back at you, so it works fine for me.
