Well,
I use Canon Powerchot A700. It is a 6mega pixel camera and a nice one.
Let me give you the details
-If u r not concerned about money, and if u want a sleek camera, then u can go for Sony.
But i heard that sony handycams are very good... dont know about the digi cams.
-If u concerned about quality, then Canon is a good go. Also the cost is reasonable. But slightly bulky.
-If u r still concerned about the cost, then Olympus is cheap. But i dont know about the quality.
Also go for a camera with atleast 6 mega pixel or more resolution, and buy a minimum of 1GB memory card.

Nicon,Canon and Olympus are the top three prefessinal camera company.but Nicon is specialize in high-end product,if your camera is obnly for family-using,I suggest you to buy Cannon or Olypus product,only one sense,the appearance of Canon powershot series is very ungainly.

According to these three brands, Olympus is my favorite. I have a Canon camera before, but it always has problems. It has been fixed twice but it doesn't work now anyway. As to Sony, I don't think it's very good at camera field. Its color isn't very accurate.

Now I have a little Bias. I used to work for Olympus camera in their Inside Sales department. We were given the opportunity to test alot of the prototypes. They were awesome!!And the digitals are terrific. So my vote is for Olympus. Now that I no longer work for the company I still buy the products. We have never been unhappy.
