given: 100 people carries 100 blocks
100=100
1 man =4 blocks X=man
1 lady=3 blocks Y=lady
2children = 1 block Z=children
equation 1: -3(X+Y+Z=100) ;-3X-3y-3Z=-300
equation 2: 4X+3Y+ 1/2Z= 100
process of elimination:
-3X -3Y - 3Z =-300
4X +3Y +1/2 Z = 100
----------------------
X -2 1/2Z= -200
X=2 1/2 Z -200
Substitute it to 4X+3Y+1/2 Z=100
4( 2 1/2 Z-200)+3Y +1/2Z=100
10Z-800+3y +1/2Z=100
10 1/2Z+ 3Y=900
well, i'm already confused with this, hahaha
i will use trial and error.because there is one missing equation , one missing given.
4x+3Y+1/2Z=100
the answer is X=5
Y=13
Z=82
------
100 people
there fore there are 5 men 13 ladies and 82 children
4X+3Y+1/2Z=100 blocks
4(5)+3(13)+1/2(82)=100
20+39+41=100
using trial and error
