If you had only a shower at your house, but your friend offers to let you use their tub for a nice relaxing bath while your at her house, would you take her up on the offer. . To me it seems a little weird to have a bath at someone elses house, but we are pretty good friends, and i wash the tub before and after i use it. I am here all day babysitting a lot of days and i enjoy the bath. Still.. i feel a little odd about it. . even though she or her hubby is not here.
They are thinking of getting a whirl pool in there soon!! OMG i dont think i'll feel weird about it then! *laughs*
How would you feel about it?

I dont feel wierd taking a shower in other peoples houses. Its just a shower/tub to me. But it is nice of you to clean it afterwards. I prolly wouldnt. lol Now if I didnt like to I think a whirlpool would change my mind to. hehe

If your friend says it's cool I would. I wash before and after too and as long as you do that out of courtesy and cleanliness, all should be fine. Just don't use her bar soap some people are freaky about that- (like me- LOL)

So... is the friend hot??
Sorry, my mind is in the gutter today. Anyway, on to your question!
I would be perfectly comfortable using a friend's bathtub in a situation like that. I love taking baths, and I've always hated it when I had to live in places with only showers. In fact, when I'm looking for apartments, a tub is the first thing I look for.
I wouldn't feel comfortable taking a bath in the house of a stranger or someone I didn't know very well, but it wouldn't bother me at all if it were a friend's place. :)

If I were you it would depends how well I know my friend before accepting his/her offer. Also, if I have to end up late for one at home then a simple shower, not the tub would suffice.

It all would depend on how close I was with her and if I felt comfortable enough around her. If it was a friend who was more like a sister to me, I probably would but if it was a friend who I was close to but not that close to and who I didn't feel all that comfortable around, I would definitely not take her up on the offer....

lol...no other reason...besides I just wouldn't be comfortable in someone else's bathroom.
Well, if they weren't home for only a few hours, I'd still feel uncomfortable doing it.
But if they were on vacation or away for a longer period, I might consider.
lol...maybe I'm just scared that they'll come back sooner than they intended because they forgot something...whatever it is...it's the uncomfortable feeling in my head...and has nothing to do with their cleanliness aspect.
I had a neighbour once who offered to give my son a bath in her bathroom (because we were at her home during bathtime) and everytime I said I had to go home when my son needed to use the toilet, she would say use her's. But I just couldn't do it because her bathroom was VERY dirty! I wouldn't want my child going anywhere NEAR their bathroom. Luckily for me, my son would not use any other bathroom besides ours.

well we seem to have been connected at the hip since we met lol. Her mother calls us bossom buddies, and i'm not sure what that means exactly.. but i hope its a friend thing and she doesnt think something else! lol. Our kids are only a month apart and we live like 10 min walk away from eachother so.. i'd say we've hung out almost everyday for about a year or more, and we even all went on vaccation together. her and her hubby and kid stayed with me at my MIL's house and we all flew there together. It was really fun ;)

In your situation, where you're not actually staying there for more than a day, it might be kinda odd, but I'd do it as well if I didn't have a chance to kick back in a tub at home. Like you said, you wash it before and after, so cleanliness is there :P

A whirlpool? I would have my kit off as soon as I got in their house and run streaking to the tub before they have even invited me in. Wow.
Yeah I must say though I think I would probably feel a little weird about using someone elses tub unless there was a reason for it, like I had broken my arm or something and therefore could not shower.
I do like my baths though and so thankful that in my house we have a great bath which fills up fast and the bathroom is nice and warm. I even have a ledge that I can sit my book on, juice and my mobile for texting.

Depressing thing is though I lost a button on my phone. Turns out that button is backspace in text messages so if I make a mistake I just got to come out of it and start again. Killer!

I would feel a little weird too, but considering you may not get this opportunity for a while, I would take her up on it.

I will feel weird about having a shower or bath at someone else home. Though she may be my best friend. I may use it if I'm like you there all day babysitting but I won't use it everyday. Still I will feel odd and would think of what they might have done in that tub.........

To me, it just seems like more work that pleasure! Just not worth the effort! But if you enjoy it... why not?

I think it would depend on how close I was to the friend but as you say you are pretty good friends and you already spend a lot of time there so why not! Especially when you are in the latter stages of pregnancy and that tub soothes your aches and pains! xxx

Well I would feel weird to. We just have a shower also and my mother in law says I can come over any time for a bath and for me its weird. I want to sit and soak, but at another persons house its a little hard to do that.

I would do it only if they had a really, really nice tub, large and comfortable to sit in, lay back in, and truly enjoy my bath. For the most part, I find tubs uncomfortable, and they tend to hurt my bones, so I generally enjoy showers much much more. I just love showers anyway, frankly, the water cascading down on me, the feeling of the force of it as it hits my skin, the sensual nature of it. But baths have their place too, Sissy. And if it were a clawfoot bathtub, and I could plop my legs over the end of it and position that stream from the faucet just right, oh, definitely, I would do that. ;) So, if it's a good tub, and they do end up putting a whirlpool in it, it sounds like it would be a wonderful experience, and I say go for it. After all, you know these people, and clearly have an amount of trust in them, and they are clean, so why not? Enjoy, Sissy, and do let us know what happens, will you?

lol. I did take a bath, and i have done the positioning under the tap before. that was how i had my first one!! lol but i doubt this tub has enough pressure to do that. This was a relaxingish bath not a playful bath. lol I had the kids in the room with me and i was listening to them play through the shower doors. I think i'm too preggo to enjoy that tyoe of positioning right now lol my belly would probably get in the way anyways!

I would feel a bit weird about it at first too. I just it would really depend on the relationship with the bath tub owner. I have taken baths at my parents house although i no longer live with them. When I was pregnant and when my son was first born I needed moms help getting in and out and with the baby so I used her tub. It really was not weird but then again is my mom and I lived with her for the first 20 years of my life.

I probably wouldn't, just because I don't really like baths that much and prefer showers, but I don't think it's that weird, especially since it's a close friend of yours. Although I can see why someone would feel uncomfortable doing that. It's really nice of her to offer, though.
