Shopping for clothes!

In high school I was an overweight child, that actaully lost weight when I started college. But I found out something that would have helped me to have found clothes, when it was so hard. I have to come to learn that many retail stores offer larger sizes online and not in stores... and I ask how is that right? Big people like to try on clothes before they buy it too... plus they get slapped with shipping and handeling, when sometimes they already have added an extra dollar for the added material. Which also makes it difficult to exchange and takes longer to get the merchandise! Does anyone else find this not to be right?

I don't think it's right at all either. Because online although the clothing is big, no one really knows if those clothes will fit once they get them. The only place I can find clothing is Wal Mart, but even there, it's hard to find the right pant or blouse size. I'm not a big girl, I am prebablly chubby, since Im a size 18, but still even if something has my size on it, it won't always fit. I agree more stores should carry larger sizes and not just online. So what if a big girl walks into a clothing store, she's not there just to look, she's there to shop.

You would think retailers would catch on the trend that most of the population is becoming chucky...wouldn't they think thats where the money is! Yes, I have the same issue, everybrand fits a different way, therefore I have to try it on. Probably more so than the people that can go into the store pick up that lucky number and know it's going to fit!!Shouldn't they be having to order? Thanks for your comment!
