Do you think boys should be allowed to tote Dora things?or is he too girly for boys?Me,myself I would never allow one of my sons to fall into the Dora thing.I think she is too girly for boys.

I have a girl, so she plays with Dora and Diego.
If I had a boy he could play with Dora and Diego.
Many times kids see these dolls as friends and not as
themselves. Dora is like a sister to my child.
If I had a son, he would most likely see Dora or Diego as a
sibling, not merely a toy.
Funny world that kids live in!

I think it not too bad to play but it's not good to addict to. if he just play some time, that's not a problem. but if he play it from time to time and seems like it more than other toys......you maybe need to change his interests.

That is probably because your kids are young enough to have Diego. When my son was little there was Dora, Blue Clues and Sesame Street. They were not really seen as gender specific. Personally, I see absolutely nothing wrong with a little boy toting around anything with Dora, Kim Possible or any other female cartoon character on them. By not allowing such your sons you are harming them in the long run by not allowing them to express themselves.

When my boys were 2 and 3 they loved watching Dora. I would never really buy them anything Dora, I bought my son glowy the star. And my other son got a Dora bouncy ball for Christmas (not bought by me). Now they are 5 and 6 and they could care less about Dora. They love Diego. I wouldnt buy them anything Dora now, nor would I buy my 16 month old anything Dora, unless it was something like glowy, or boots. I would let him watch her though. I think that the show is very educational.
