WAR. Why is there war?

I belive that everything has a purpose. so my quetion is What is the general reason for WAR? I don't mean this war or past wars i mean all wars in general.
I will give my thoughts on this in a comment on the first or second awnser.

it's all about LUST! there's war happen because of lust, and there's also war against lust.
