I suggest you give eBid a try. In the UK it is the second largest auction site after eBay and is growing rapidly in the US too. The fees are much lower though sales are slower to achieve. There are various membership levels but it is possible to list items for sale for absolutely nothing. Charges are incurred if you opt for additional features. It's certainly worth listing on there, it has just recently had an influx of members disgruntled with eBay so is growing fast.

You're welcome :) Good luck! If you need any help with anything the forums are a good place to start. The people on there are really friendly and eager to help newbies with any queries. You also get your own referral link so if you've got any friends that might be interested and they sign up through that you'll be rewarded with Buddy Points. It takes a while to accumulate points but it is a useful reward system, and there are promo items and other items you can buy with them. I've just bought a couple of eBid mugs with my points, something for nothing for a change!

I know that Amazon has auctions going and there's another site you might check out called I Offer - you can see it here: http://www.ioffer.com
I know that Yahoo used to do auctions but I haven't checked into that in ages so not sure if they still do.
Ebay's fees are so crazy that I know of so many people looking for other options.

There's some great Free programs that Ebay is involved with and they not only help promote your auction listings/store listings, but can you can earn extra money from these programs...even if your listings don't sell!
