hi! here's my advice. if you are eating rice, do not eat too much white rice but brown rice instead. do not eat too much bread as well. these are known to have high sugar contents. stop eating pork and chicken as much as you can! and most of all, you must eat 90% of vegetables especially green leaves everyday! it's kind a hard but you must discipline yourself with your food or else.... things might go worst. don't forget to exercise as well

Oh my God, it would be really hard for me not to eat pork or chicken and rice. These three are very much delightful to me. But since, well, don't have any choice coz i need to put my health on top of it. I appreciate your reminder on this and perhaps your provided me an awareness. Thanks a lot!

You two are right on what you're really pointing out. I understand your points and actually, this is kinda my first to know these info. Unlike before, i don't care of the facts of that certain food i eat as long as i like it. Thanks anyway for both of you.

Hello hmike_d. Im sad to hear of your predicament :( Im wondering how you found out of the higher level of blood sugar in your body. Did you already have laboratory tests done? If so, as everyone has said let the doctor decide what's the best course to take. Everything will depend on what type of diabetes you have, assuming that you have it. Im not sure how diabetes is diagnosed... if it's on a one-time FBS (fasting blood sugar) test or you need to have your blood checked at least at 2 or more separate occasions to confirm it. Anyway, I guess the thing to do for now is check your diet and lifestyle and moderate those food and things that are contributing factors for high blood sugar level in the body. Praying for the best for you.

Appreciate a lot your prayers. And well, what i am really stressing out in here is just how to find ways to eliminate sugar levels in our body. It seems to me that its impeccable enough for us to lead not to diabetes. Have a nice day and thanks for droppin in.

Hi if you have not had tests for diabetes its time for you to go to your doctor and tell him that you wish to be tested and then follow his advice. Diabetes is not to be feared if you take good care of yourself, keep your blood glucose level at the right point and eat healthily also watch your weight if you are overweight lose some pounds and think postive. you can live a long and happy life even with diabetes. I know as I have had it for thirty years and I am going strong. 81 now and pretty healthy to boot.

first thing to do is have your blood sugar level checked and that examination is what you call FASTING BLOOD SUGAR. you are not allowed to eat for 8 hours (i think.. but consult a physician first of long should you not eat before taking this test). after the test you will be able to see the result whether you have high sugar level or low...
to avoid diabetes is that avoid eating foods rich in sugar.. avoid sweets but if you are a sweet tooth person then i may suggest you that you eat only in moderation.
it would also be better if you go consult your concern to a physician so you may have a basis of how high or low your sugar level is..
