There is this cat that comes by my plate glass window and teases my indoor cat. Is there anything you know of I can put down outside the window to deter this bad kitty from harassing my sweet kitty girl? I stepped outside tonight and yelled at it. It went about 20 feet and then turned and looked at me. I took a step and it went a little further. I fear it is going to come back soon. I just put a bucket of water on the back porch to throw at it next time. Any better ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Call Animal Control. People should not allow their cats to run around outside unattended anyway. They kill birds and poop in other people's gardens. Getting a phone call from the pound ought to be plenty of a wake-up call if this cat has owners.

There are a couple of things that you can do. If you have a ledge that the cat is getting on to look in put some vasalene(spelling) along the ledge. I put some and the door jams that my kitty was using as a scratching post and it has stopped her. You could scatter a lot of pine cone around the window and that might help because the are prickly and not fun to walk on. Cat also are not supposed to like citrus peeling.

Thanks for the best response. Did the vasoline help?

I actually poured lemon juice out there and haven't seen the critter since.

I'm glad that something worked. I hadn't thought about the actual lemon juice. Now I'll have to try that to get our cat to stop using the furniture for scratching posts

Is your cat spayed? If you can catch the other cat, maybe you can get him fixed as well. I grabbed a cat visitor and fixed him. NExt time he came to visit he had a collar
