Someone ws telling me that drinking very strong coffee everyday can be detrimental to ones health. I'm not sure what all it causes - but do any of you agree/disagree with that. Do you have any info or stats on what can happen.
Or is it safe?

It depends on the brand of coffee and your health. It is actually beneficial for a healthy adult to drink several cups of coffee a day. Recent studies have found that the caffeine is not harmful as once thought. The problem is that mainstream grocery store coffee brands are allowed to put more caffeine into their coffee as they process it. They call it standardizing, but it is the chemical caffeine that is the problem. My husband and I have drunk organic coffee for about 7 years now. I can't stand the taste of regular coffee. I don't know how other people can drink it. We grind our own beans fresh for each pot. The coffee we buy is not that expensive either. We get it at the local New Frontiers store for 7.99 to 8.99 a pound. Honestly, you don't know what real coffee tastes like until you have tried freshly ground organic coffee. We don't get caffeine side effects and we can skip a day if we want to and never have a headache or anything. It must make a difference as to the source of the coffee.

Coffee in India is served with cream (milk and sugar). Many westerners drink black coffee. I prefer strong coffee - more decoction, less cream, + sugar to taste. I do not have any medical reports indicating the ill effects of strong coffee, but then I drink only one cup a day and I feel it will have very less effect on the health.
Caffeine is the old-found content in coffee which is injurious to health.
