You turn on the News and ever time your turn around Mothers are hurting their children? For the life of me I can not figure it out. They claim that they are having mental breakdowns, or drugs are involved, dad left and I was trying to be a good Mother. To me they are just excuses. Or do you really think that peoples life can get that bad to where they are hurting their children? OR is it they just don't want to be bugged down with them?

Examples? When you see on TV, mom put's child in Micorwave, Mom gives daughter pills to make her pass out to sleep with her boyfriend ( yes the daughters boyfriend) then she overdoses, Mother beats her child so Badly that face is deformed, ( 5 years old). No there is a difference in telling your child NO, and them getting upset or unhappy with it. Or giving your child a swat, Come on.. Child Abuse is a very big Issue in the Country, and all around the world. That needs some major attention.

It goes on every day a parent hurting their child. I do not see how anyone could hurt a child. I have 2 and they are the greatest gift that I could ever have received. They are my world. I think that there should be harsher punishment for anyone who hurts a child. They always have some reason that they have done it for. In my mind there is no excuse why anyone should harm a child.

No me either. This is something that really gets me. I just wished that there was more that I could do! My husband is always telling me you can not save the world. Now If I ever knew of someone personally that would abuse children I would turn them in.

It is crazy how often we see this now. I know that it is tough to be a mom at times. I have five kids, and there are times where I think I'm going to snap. Perhaps if you are already sort of unstable, it is easier to go past the point of no return. I don't think so, but it just seems like something must be contributing to this horrible rise in crimes against children...
