Have you ever made ice cream? How did you do it?

Did you use cream or milk? What other ingredients did you use? Did you use an electric machine, roll a double tin can, a crank ice cream maker, or something else? Did you do it just once in your life or have you done it a bunch of times or even regularly?
I made it with a crank ice cream maker, I put the maker in the freezer, took it out put the ingredients in and turned the lever, put it in the frig and a little while later did it again. Did it for one afternoon and had vanilla ice cream! Used the flavor packet that came with it and cream. I would like to do that from scratch some time and make all kinds of flavors. Take care and thanks.

Ice cream is so-o-o-o good homemade. I was reading about using 2 cans, one inside the other. Ice between the cans. Then ingredients in the smaller can. Then put the top on both cans and roll it with your feet until it's ice cream. Sounds cool~!
