What do you think of the show Wife Swap?

Right to the point...do you like the show Wife Swap? Isn't it the oddest thing? I liked it the first season or 2, it was informative and fun and interesting, but now, I just turned it off.. disgusting. I guess there are people out there that are "like that" but good grief! Sometimes it is actually scary to know that there are mothers, fathers and kids out there that are so odd! And I say odd, no defense to anyone, but it is to me and granted it might not be to others! But what do you think about that show?

I always get a good laugh out of that show. I wonder how people agree to being on the show knowing that the family they are paired with is going to be completely opposite of what they have at home. My fave show was the one with the really religious mother who swapped with the wiccan mother. That show was hilarious.

It used to be funny but this season, IMO it just got to trashy and so far out, that it is hard for me to want to watch. I often wonder if those really wild ones are really that wild or is it just for TV, but figure there's alot of people in this world of all shapes and sizes! and like you said, hard to believe people really want to put their lives on the chopping block to the world! I mean all their friends, co workers, everyone now knows how they are!

I really have not watched it much this last season. With the writer's strike we really don't have the TV on half as much as we use to.

I watch the FoodNetwork, TV LAnd and a few others, but seldom regular channels - ABC etc. Just nothing worth watching on anymore! I have my box sets for favorite shows and series and I watch them. This show was okay the first season, but just got to junky after that so I haven't turned it on since.

I have tried to watch it a few times, but it is too weird for me. SOme of the things that happen on it are too hard to believe and I think they are made up to make the show interesting. I don't think the things that happen can really be real. I don't think that people can be that weird in real life. I think it is all just to get high ratings. So I don't watch it anymore, either.
How or why would anyone want to do that, swap homes like that. Why would people air their dirty launder on the show like that. I compare the show to the Jerry Springer show where it just can't be real.

I know what you are saying. Just to weird. And to know that you are airing your dirty laundry and your friends, employer etc all now know your deep secrets. And for what?
