Do you believe that things happen for a reason?

I've been struggling with this for quite a while and would appreciate some feedback on this. When I talk about "things" I'm talking about good and bad, but especially bad, because its the bad things that most of the time make us wonder about the relevance of it all. My mom used to say to me that these experiences will make me a better person, and then one day I read somewhere that when we pray, God doesn't necessarily change our circumstances, but He changes us. And yes, some experiences have made me a different person, and made me look at life in a different way. But sometimes it just feels to me that at some stage all this must stop, because how far can you go as a human being, experiencing these "bad" things and constantly trying to cope?

I do believe that things happen for a reason in the grand scheme of things. However, I also believe the things also happens to us as a direct or indirect results of the choices that we have made. We may be damned or saved by our choices and by our own doing. But as a whole, I believe that each of us has a blueprint for our lives and things are needed to happen to aid us or to change us or to teach us a lesson to fulfill our destinies or our purposes. When we choose or do something that alters that blueprint then, I believe also that our life somehow do aligns itself.

Yes every thing whether good or bad what so ever is happend, happening and going to happend all for a specific reason. Nothing happend just like that. The thing is very often we fail to understand the right reason. And we end up with blaming God for the happening of samething bad, and apresiate our ability or luck for all the good. But both are not the right way. Every thing that happend is with the will of God and what we experience is according to our past deeds, thoughts and vasanas.
