I have fibromalgia so bad that I am now on disability. There is some hope on the horizion. There is a doctor near me who is doing some studies on it. His name is Dr. Patrick B. Wood and he is located at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He's not taking any new patients as mostly what he is doing is research.

Thanks for the reply. It took me 3 yrs to get approved for SSI. Now I wait for the start of it. I had to end up with a lawyer. I didn't even get approved for what he was trying. *Go figure* it's all good though
Fibromyalgia is not nice, and it is even difficult for other people to really understand. Life goes on one day at a time.

I know what you mean about disability. I had a hard time getting it too. Finally it was the depression that got me qualified. Those making the dicisions weren't even aware that depression is listed as one of the major symptoms of fibromyalgia!

I have not had much to do with fibromyalgia. I do know someone who has this. All I know about it is that my friend said she is always tired, and she can't eat certain things. Most of the time she looks 'dragged out'. If you have any information about this illness, I would like to learn about it. I'm sorry to hear of your affliction. Is it recoverable?

A good friend of mine suffers from it, and finds it extremely hard, although she says that now she has been diagnosed it is a little easier. Not less painful but at least she knows what was causing her so many health problems and does her best to avoid the triggers.
I am sorry to hear that you suffer from it and hope that you can find some quality of life.
