being betrayed by a friend.

I had the same thing happen to me.If you tell someone something in confidence,they tell someone else...Thats Betrayal!I have never talked to her again,a friendship was lost.One i thought i could share my heart with,broke that trust.Her act of betrayal hurt as much,if not more than,a physical injury.The Trauma resides not in the body,but in your emotional being.The hurt feelings,shock and emotional distress is often so severe,that it's hard to forgive.I can forgive,but i'll never forget.That's just me,I learned a hard lesson from thinking i could trust someone. I would suggest you move on,just let it go,depending on how strong your relationship was with this person.I felt as if this person who did this to me was like a sister,but what she did,broke that bond we had.I forgave her in my mind,but i can't be friends with her again. She is the one in the wrong,i would let her know how much it hurt me,then go on,if she comes to you asking for forgiveness,thats up to you to forgive...I feel for you...i hope your hurt feelings will soon go away....Hold your head high....Life is short

ive been betrayed by my bestfriend too , she keeps leaving me for her boyfriend ! when i need her the most she says that she gonna come and see me , and when that day comes she doesnt show ! and it gets me mad . i guess that her boyfriend is more important than i am to her as her bestfriend . i think that you should move on and just live life . you can find other people that will be there for you !

I think I would be reluctant to talk to her in that situation. It hurts more to be betrayed by someone you feel you can trust. She would have to work hard to regain that trust.
