Sheesh! Good thing that live is really live plus about 7 seconds. It was hilarious when Julie Chen announced the twist to the HG's last night on Big Brother. They had to mute them so much because of all the cursing! Sheesh. And, I guess that Big Brother later told them to watch their mouths because they are on a TV show that is supposed to be live. Apparently they didn't really like being reprimanded for their mouths given the bomb that Julie dropped on them last night. They wonder how they were supposed to act with that kind of news. LOL! I thought it was funny. And, kudos for the editing team of BB for being so quick to pull that trigger for the last 10 minutes of the and only having 7 or so seconds to make it happen. LOL! I probably would have messed up and accidentally let some F-bombs slip through the cracks. The FCC would have been all over me! LOL!

HAHA Yep! At first I had thought they were having volume troubles and that it kept cutting out, till I realized they were just swearing A LOT.
Well I think they have a short delay so they can beep people out. Like they see it 1 minute before we do.

That has to be really hard to have a live reality show without scripts! You really can't blame the house guests when they get crazy news like last night! I agree with you that I would probably slip a few times myself!!

I'm pretty sure the guy at the switch was ready for the f-bombs to fly when the announcement was made. They've already witnessed the curses that come out of the mouths of these people on a regular basis, they probably had a whole team of button-pushers.
The time delay is pretty normal. Hillary Clinton was on The Daily Show the other night and the delay was very noticeable. He was speaking to her via satellite from New York to, I think, Texas. But even if you see someone at a hockey game speaking in a microphone you hear an echo because of some sort of delay.

I noticed that! The first time I thought they had just lost sound for a minute or something, then I realized that it was because they were swearing. I don't blame them for swearing, bb just threw them a curve ball. I wonder what will happen in the house now.
