this story is so sad.the guy was an illinois attorney named alvin paulson.he put a 20 dollar bill to a slot machine.to his surprise, he won the jackpot and it lit up and started spitting out quarters, until a casino worker came to him and unplugged the machine and said it was a malfunction..the machine showing $5.15 million but the casino just gave him $100 and a free meal for the supposed malfunction.and paulson was so upset and sued the casino..IF YOU'RE THAT GUY, WHAT WILL YOU DO?HOW WILL YOU DEAL WITH IT?

This can happen and if you win in certain places you may not get all of your money if you have ever gotten money from the government. I man won $10,000 but only got $1,000.00 as he had collected welfare/government assistance in the past. but he is fighting this... i have had the government take a refund check because I owed a state agency money but I was paying them on a payment schedule..but they can do this..as I found out..nothing surprised me as I have heard of lotteries being won and when the man/women tries to collect the money its not there because someone stole it? well, thats all i know. but i still play the lotto as even a blind squirell will find a nut now and then..if you don't play you can't win...but sometimes people get cheated.
I would try to sue someone who was responsible..as in my UNION i have a free lawyer..but I still have to pay union dues and claim this service on my income tax..so they got you coming and going..lol..just go into business for yourself and then you have more leverage in controling your income and the taxes you pay..good luck in your future business..maybe in Makati? or near Forbes park..as I am familar with Manila but my wife is from Negros Occidental ..Bacolod....

Well winning is winning and I would have also sued the casino. Attorneys dont need more money anyways but still it is unfair. And even if it was a malfuntion im sure he should have gotten way more then a lousy $100. idk if that was me id be completely mad and do everything I could to get what I won.
