When my wife is angry or mad, I'll just stay quiet and will wait for her to cool down. I don/t want to have any discssions especially when her angry. When she cools down, then its the time to talk to her. Its easier to talk when both are calm. And specially, I'm gonna use some charm.LOL. God Bless

When my husband is upset, I try to start the conversation by matching his anger with CALM. I refuse to take the bait, and let his anger take me down. I will be as calm and as reasonable as possible, and it usually works. When he sees that I'm not taking the bait, he cools down and TALKS about the problem, rather than just screaming.

I ask what is wrong. I let the person pour his emotions. If I already see or feel that he subsides already by the manner the he speaks, that is the right time I'll utter a word or two. But not to aggravate his feelings more. But to console and makes him think clearly.

You know, in my relationship, I'm the "mad person" more often than not; I just have a stronger and more reactive temper than my boyfriend. But when either of us are mad, if we're mad at the other person, I've found apologizing is always the best way to break down that initial painful silence.
If they're not mad at you, you can hardly ever go wrong with offering empathy, or a simple "You know I love you, right?" The words "I Love You", no matter how many times you've heard them, can do wonders for someone's mood.

I feel like sometimes there is almost nothing to do but let it go for a while so that the anger can just dissipate and then you can go in and apologize and talk about it to make it better and then you really have to just try and change. But, being able to match anger with calmness can also work too. Don't feed the anger by yelling or anything, that can only make it worse.
