Help!
I have bugs. On my plants. They are little black things that look like tiny gnats and fly around. I think they may be doing damage to my plants and I need a way to get rid of them.
I prefer to use home remedies, does anyone have any suggestions that I can try?

Here is a quick way if you have some hot sauce. Put a couple of tablespoons in about a quart of water and spray the plants.
You can also put 1 cup garlic powder, 1 cup cayenne powder and 3 cloves in a gallon of water. Let it sit for a week. Then strain it before you use it. I also add the red pepper seeds to this mixture.
The bugs might be aphids. Is there any without wings? What they do is invade a plant. Where there is too many their bodies get agitated and it causes them to sprout wings to fly to another plant.
Or they might be gnats that come from bananas n stuff.
Good Luck

I forgot. Add about a teaspoon of a mild detergent like ivory dish washing liquid. Make sure it is safe. Ivory is the easiest way to go.

Go to a good nursury and ask for insecticide soap. I use it alot, it's safe for animals, and easy on the environment. You just need to use it every few days. As soon as it warms up you can take your plants outside if you can, as there's nothing like being outside in the fresh air to rid your plants of bugs, as there alot of natural predaters outside. Good luck to you!

I know what you are talking about, and I forget what they are called. What I did the last time I had 'bugs' on my houseplants was used a mild dish soap and mixed up a bottle of water with a little bit of soap. And sprayed all my plants with the soapy water. Within a few days the little pests were all gone.
(you dont need much soap)
