What is up with myspace?

A picture of my mom on myspace - This one of the pictures of my mom on myspace. She is good looking for her age but some of the men sending her these messages are really young. Can't see why they would want a serious relationship with her and move across the us to be with her.
In the picture my mom is holding my son Ashden. Maybe they have very tiny monitors and think she's his mom.LOL

My mom keeps receiving messages from these guys on myspace, many that are not usually the type to be interested in someone of her age. She's almost sixty and some of these men are young enough for me, I'm 28. But that's not the weirdest part. A lot of them say the same things, they are new to myspace, don't send message to myspace page, they give her a yahoo email and IM, and some even talk of relocating to where she lives. I know that these can't be real. I know that there are a lot of add balls out there but I'm sure this is some kind of scam. I'm just wondering what. Do they send you viruses or spam to your email? I'm sure this happens to a lot of people so if any one knows the answer I'd love to know. I'm not to internet savy especially in myspace.

I used to get those all the time and I looked it up. It seems to be spammers trying to get you to send them an e-mail to their accounts so they can get your email address. Alls your Mom has to do is change her privacy settings on myspace so that only friends can view her page and so that people have to type in letter before sending her messages and comments. That worked for me, I don't get any mails like that anymore. Just tell her to change her privacy settings. (they have improved over the past month or so)
