What you don't like on rainy season?

Early this morning, it is raining so hard, as well as the past few days. And it is so annoying for me. I don't like rainy season because of lots of reason. First, I am unable to wash the clothes as the water on the tap gets muddy and aside from that, we have no dryer to dry the clothes soonest, and that causes the clothes to stink. And that would mean to postpone laundry and the next, the number of clothes needed to be wash will double. Another one is I don't like rainy season because during those days, there is frequent electric glitches. I don't like rainy season because there are some times I can't take a shower for a day because the water is muddy and because it is very cold to take a shower. I don't like rainy season as I cannot go out without brining umbrella. I am not fun of bringing anything when I go out and aside from that, if you walk on the side of the road, you easily get mess. How about you guys, what you don't like about rainy season?

The water on the ground will make my pants wet. sometimes you have to carry an umbrella. I always forget it on a bus or someplace else.

Arrgh! Me too!!! I am forever leaving my umbrella in a classroom, or on the bus, or anywhere where I can set it down. I am a very forgetful person, and I try not to bring things with me that I can set down easily and forget. Even my purse has to have a long strap that will go across my body so I can't forget it, although I always keep my money in my pocket no matter what.

Hello Qiao, Oh, I hate bringing umbrella, I even don't bring wallet when I go out and just put bills and coins on my pocket. Umbrella would be an extra baggage. And we are also the same, I always forgot to bring back home my umbrella.

i also don't like rainy days,as if i have to go out,my trousers are easily polluted by slurry on the road. it brings me much trouble as the weather isn't favorable to dry clothes. in addition, the wet season makes me low,in which mood i'd rather sleep than do something important.

yeah, I am also somewhat lazy during rainy days. I just want to sleep and eat, sleep and eat. But then I always can't do that, because there are chores need not be postponed.

Where I live now, I don't have too many complaints about the rainy season. I can stay in the house and not worry about it if I don't have anything to do. Where I used to live though, about a mile or two down the street, I hated the rainy season with a passion. I lived on a main street, and the part that I was on was a winding hill. People to this day still speed down that hill at breakneck speed, which is already dangerous, because one missed turn, and you could end up in the woods on either side of the street. Well, when it rained, it made things worse. People still sped up and down that street. And it never failed, always when it was raining, someone would spin out towards the bottom of the hill, and hit the electric pole, knocking out power for everyone on the hill. April for me was "unscheduled nap month" because the only thing there was to do when this happened, was to take a nap until the electricity came back on. I'm glad though, I haven't had to deal with that for the past two years.

Can you not wash some of the clothes and hang them up in your house? Would they not dry that way? I know before when I couldn't afford a washer or dryer I had to wash my clothes in the bathtub and I just hung them around the house. Where I live we have a very cold and snowy winter, so we can't hang them outside, and so I had to hang them in the house. Your water system isn't very good, if you are getting mud in your water. Do you live in a country that is a little behind in times? Is it a poor country? And if so, how do you afford to have your computer hooked up to the internet? Am I naive in this?

We are all aware that there are only two seasons in the Philippines, which is the dry and the wet season. What I don't like on the wet season is the city roads are easily get flooded amounting to traffic and it's very hard to commute when that happens. Argh! So most of the people here are always anticipating the dry season aka SUMMER :)

Hello Reejane, I am from Philippines too. Thanks for responding my discussion. Yeah it is annoying, very annoying. I remember when I was studying in college, our uniform is plain white, just like nurse students and we always opt to use hanging bridge instead of walking on the side of the road. The road is muddy during rainy season and if we use the bridge it is along the national high way so there are big vehicles that would pass and the possibility of getting mess is very high. Sometimes even if the distance is just walkable, we opt to commute and that would additional expenses for us.
