Internet:Addiction

yeah one can get addicted to the internet i think. perhaps it's because that most of the things can be found on the net and we enjoy using the internet for whatever stuff that we do. and sometimes we tend to rely too much on the internet haha.

I agree with you! For some people I think it is an addiction! I've run into several friends and family, that they don't have anything else to do, or should be doing something else, they spend their time on the computer searching the web, or games, or chatting! (At least chatting has a purpose, it's inevitable) I am lucky! I use the computer a lot, but it's not an addiction, to me it's a tool! I stay so busy doing things all day, and sometimes at night, and I have to use the computer for business, my music recording for my band, my investment portfolio and bank records, and communicating with the rest of the family, on business transactions! I use a computer all day, at my day job also! I go on e-bay and Kelly blue book, to look for cars and music equipment to buy and resell and make money, also! About one day out of the month, I'll catch up with all my work, and have time for a game of chess, or freecell, or solitaire! Other than that, I spend all my time doing something that makes money! Mylot to me is just a pastime, and I enjoy conversing with people here!

Yes, the Internet is addictive. I have internet wherever I go, as long as my phone or notebook are with me. When I had my phone and aircard in for service at the same time, I felt jittery, unnerved, and perhaps even a bit empty without them. I admit to my addiction.

Hey tornado!!! You are right!!! after using internet for somany days it becomes as addiction for anyone....... Even i am very much addicted. If any day i dont surf net i feel very much different. I surf internet more than 6 to 8 hours a day. Have a nice day!! Keep posting

Yes I always spent my time to computer.However I try to learn, How to do business on Internet ?, still not work, that cause I still addict internet

yes you are right...i spend about 8-9 hrs a day on internet...

i think that should not be called addiction when what you're doing have some benefits to you. when you think you're overdoing it to the detriment of other good ventures. i think i can also sit for hours doing discussions while listening to music but when it comes to doing other vital things too. i stop immediate and attend to them as well.

Anything we can do can be addictive in a negative sense if we don't know how to control it. If we spend the whole day on the internet and forgot our responsibilities in the home, family, work, or other areas in our life, then it becomes a bad addiction! Happy day to you.
