which is the greatest rock band of all time?

is it led zepplin? or the rolling stones? iron maiden? or metallica? is it dire straits or pink flyod? or is it the scorpions? lets hear from all the rock fans.

I'm pretty sure it's Led Zeppelin. Even after all these decades, they still get to me, when the radio plays one of their tunes, I crank it up. Pink Floyd is up there, too, of course. But I think those other bands, including the Beatles, are all number one's, as they all have their own styles, which are all timeless and captivating. I loved Cream, as well, and Jefferson Airplane. U2 is up there. REO Speedwagon. The Allman Brothers. Lynard Skynard. The Eagles. I couldn't pick a number one if my life depended on it.

thanks. that's exactly as i feel, and i love all those bands as well.its probably safer to have a panel of some twenty bands as the claimants to the best ever crown
