It's my second son's 5th birthday today! (March 7th) Five seems like such a big number for him, it's gone by so fast.
He had a birthday party at preschool yesterday. It was so cute. They put him at the special "birthday table" and gave him a crown to wear. All the kids sang Happy Birthday to him and then enjoyed the cupcakes I brought in.
Today we're having a quiet day at home. Daddy has to work until 8:00pm tonight so we aren't doing a whole lot today. I have a present for him and we're eating the leftover cupcakes from yeterday.
On Sunday we're all going to Chuck E Cheese with all the kids and we'll have a cake there for him. He's also going to be in the parent/child bumper bowling tournament earlier in the day.
A 5th birhday just seems like such a big deal...like he's officially a 'boy' now instead of a 'little boy', he's old enough to start school, soon he'll be reading and doing all kinds of 'big kid' things.
Even though s/o and I both have older children this one is our first together so it's a monumental family event too.
I'm just happy and wanted to tell everyone about it!

Sorry my number never changed so I didn't relize there or new ones! I wrote it down again, had no idea he still hadn't taken care of it. Last time I asked a whiloe ago, he said yeah he'd do it when he was done with whatever. So I'm embarrassed now and very sorry!

My third son was 6 yesterday (6th March) and I felt the same way, hes growing up its not fair! I was a bit naughty though as I kept him and his older brother off school, he didnt want to go because he knew he wouldnt get his cards until after and so I just let them stay off. He had a lovely day, he had a birthday tea with all his favourite things and a lovely caterpillar cake so he had a really good day. I hope you all have a lovely day together.

aww...Happy Birthday to your son too! It sounds like you had a great day together. We'll have two more years of birthdays before his falls on a school day but I'd probably let him stay home too if he wanted to.

Well this is it, how can you deny them on their birthday, his birthday wish he told me was to have his brother off with him, so I granted his wish for him too!

My congratulations to you and your boy! Happy birthday to your son! I can imagine when you saw they putting him at the special "birthday table", giving him a crown to wear, and all the kids singing Happy Birthday to him, you must be the happiest one in the world.
I plan to get married this year and want to have a baby next year. What a nice thing it is to have a babay, wheather a girl or boy!

Happy birthday to your son! I agree, five years old is such a milestone - no longer a baby, but officially a school age child. They grow up way too fast, as you know, so enjoy every minute of it! My youngest is 2 right now, so I now I will be blubbering when he turns 5!

Happy bday to your little..oops sorry to your boy!! LOL I sort of understand what you're talking about, him not being a little boy anymore but just, a boy..ok, my son is only barely 2 months old, but my nephew/godchild turned 5 last september 15th and then started kindergarden not long after. It was whoa!! He's not a baby anymore, he's going to school!! Have fun on Sunday, seems like you've got an interesting day planned ahead for your family!! Good luck in the bumper bowling tournament!!
