ICQ, IRC, YM, MSN, Skype, AOL... Which do you prefer?

There's an increase in online chatting programs and which is really the most efficient one and the most famous one which people use nowadays? I doubt that there are still people using ICQ or IRC these days as most people are using MSN and Skype in their daily chatting. What's your opinion on this? Do you still get to know people and be friends with them through ICQ or IRC friend search?
