Foley's Pub in Manhattan has banned the song Danny Boy for the entire month of March. The owner says it's depressing, it's not usually sung in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day. It's lyrics were written by an Englishman who never set foot on Iris soil. How do you feel about it?

That is just crazy! Who cares who wrote it. Yes it is a sad song but how many years has it been linked to the Irish? I mean come on its " Danny Boy " for heavens sake. They need to get over it.

Don't despair, Alf's Cafe in Ferndale MI will stage a "Danny Boy" marathon that weekend offering 1,000 renditions of that song over the past 50 years. But for the month of March Foley's will be "danny Boy" free.

I wish I could be there.
