you know what bugs me? where you see very rich women, falling in love with their stud pool guy, or stable hand it just doesn't work like that in real life, research shows that rich people generally marry other rich people, and marrying into a rich family is more a poor man or woman's dream, how many dignitaries do you know that marry their cleaning ladies? how many actors marry their paper boy? what are your thoughts on this?

Well, i see movies as a way to escape the everyday realities of normal life, so i don't mind scenarios as those. In a way, movies are what we don't have in life, or for the dramas, the worse than could happen in life (cancer, child kidnapping, murder, and such) but the love movies are always more than real life. Like seriously, did you ever see a husband stick by his wife like Noah did in The Notebook?? I mean, that's fantasy world. Real world would've been ok, it's been 6 months-1 year tops, and she still doesn't remember me, nothing i can do about, but move on.

Those kinds of movies are just fantasy, and you probably shouldn't watch those movies if you don't like them... ;) Money marries money because finance is one of the biggest challenges couples have. If one person has a significant amount more of money, then I'd say the relationship will probably not make it. True love is hard to find... :(

Lovely, yet another person that likes to complain about things to hear themselves talk. Or I guess see themselves type in this case. It's a good thing we need more people like that in the world!

The movies have it all wrong. The only way a rich woman will marry her pool boy is if he invests his money, puts it into stocks, and shows her father that he is not after her money. They are two different classes of people. Unless the pool boy is studying in the evening, taking grammar lessons, and is leaping on the cheap and putting the money, he will not come close to her. He cannot even talk the same language and even if they can, once they get married, he will tell her not to spend too much or it will cost too much. Besides they would not even meet.

Winter I thought what you were going to say bugged you about the movies was the background noice level. Gees the background music is alway louder then the voices now. I have to concentrate to hear the soft spoken words it peeves me off. In the old days the back ground music was used to enhance the moment being betrayed but didn't take over the scenes. Will anyway my dear I don't recall seeing any movies where the rich women fall in love with the handsome pool guy. I have only seen them fall in lust with them. They stay married to the rich husband in the movies and in real life. That is my observation!

Using that kind of plot makes movies more attractive to audience.Ordinary people all have dreams of marrying a rich person. And movies give a dramatic example but seem far far away from our life.

You see more actors who have spouses who are ordinary people and they leave them for another celebrity.

I think this is indeed a modern myth. I do not know of very many happy out of class marriages, and yes, we do have a class system whether we admit it or not. On the other hand, I go to movies for fantasy, and this is very like a reverse Cinderella. In real life it certainly would not work.

I think it is a macho thing. LOL They like strong dependable men. LOL Who knows. LOL I hate most movies these days. Everything is about S*X and that is a private thing not to be desecrated on the screen.

I agree with you. Rich people marry the rich, so that their wealth would continue to rise. Anyhow, for some that does happen. That even if you are not rich, you can still marry a rich person. Just look at the celebrities, they would have affairs with their housekeeper or baby sitters. I guess that works for some though.

To my best knowledge that is very much true . We usually take for granted that rich people are very generous and spoilt in the feelings towards others which is certainly not the case . Many rich people usually toil their way from bottom-up in their own life time which makes them very calculative in choosing their partners .They generally value money more than the other not so fortunate ones . It is usually the second generation flirts who get into these sort relationships ,following their hearts . with regards www.chocolatesavy.com
