Do you have a particular style to how you bowl?

I used to bowl and my style was mostly normal.
I say mostly because, I start up at the second set of dots, not the back of the lane like everyone else. The reason for doing that is because I used to bowl as a child and it was too far to walk starting at the end. So basically old habits die hard.
I had a pro bowler tell that there were pros and cons to that approach. It's good becuase there is less motion, and less to go wrong. The bad part is that there is less time and distance to correct any mistakes on the way there.
Still, it works for me.
Do you have a specific style that you use?

No, not really. However! I think it would be helpful as i'm not the best when it comes to bowling. I'm not horrible, but uh. I'm not good either!

I'm not sure how you bowl or what you use, but if you get a resin ball and get away from the plastic ones, as well getting it drilled for the fingertip style, after some practice you will get, much, much better at bowling.
I used to be pretty good and it was the equipment and style change that did it. Getting physics and a natural spin helps soooo much.

I think my specific style would be called 'the retarted bird' technique. It takes me awhile to warm up so enitially I look out of form and not the least bit coordinated. It is quite comic and is quite a display until I warm up and get a grip on what I need to do.

Ha! This one made me laugh. I can't bowl to save my life. My style is always the same every single time......crappy! LOL My husband bowls really well so, I never compare my score with his, I only compare my score with my last score. I love to laugh and I have to say, bowling ALWAYS makes me laugh. Oh and goofy golf is exactly the same. My husband plays really well and I completly reak at it.

I throw fingertip ball. I use to throw the ball backup. Which is from the left side of the lane because I'm right handed. I get better pin action with a fingertip ball.

On medium house conditions I normally stand on the 20th board (middle dot) and shoot between the second and third arrows. That should provide a nice smooth hook into the pocket. If the lanes are too oily I play pretty much straight on the inside, standing on 15 and shooting over the third arrow. If they're too dry I would stand at 25 and shoot for the third arrow. Once the lanes were so dry I had to stand all the way at 30 (the ball hooked massively for someone who barely revs it), but I find that very hard to control and will avoid it if possible.
