Testing for dislexia, how does one know if their child is dislexic? Signs: constant switching of letters, writing them backwards, but stating that it is correct. Any parents that are going through this and or have gone through this. Words of help would be awesome, not just for me but all parents that feel that no matter what they do they are failing to properly help their child.

I have an adult relative with dislexia who still has a hard time reading. It's nigh impossible to get diagnosed and tested for dislexia once you are an adult.
However most schools and many doctors and physhiatrist (of all people) can administer the test to school age children. Its my understanding that it's much easier to treat now, than 20 years ago because they understand the disease better.
So if you think your kids have dislexia, I would highly suggest getting them tested. Their school can probably tell you the best place to take the tests.
